The Silverback Films / National Geographic series ‘Secrets of the Bees’ has won the ‘Best Cinematography’ Panda Award at Wildscreen 2026. The Wildscreen Panda Awards are considered the natural history equivalents of the Oscars, I have been nominated 5 times over the years and it feels great to finally win with this project.
I shared Director of Photography credits on the series with one of my hero’s, the much missed Alastair MacEwen, and it was very special to be nominated, and win the award, alongside him.
The series has been extremely successful for National Geographic; #2 all-time Streaming Title, #1 International Title, and in the top 25 of all streaming titles in the US for 2026…. if proof were ever needed that people love bees!
